Gabriele Petouchoff (Rome, 1998) studied Harpsichord and Ancient Keyboards with Barbara Petrucci at the Conservatorio Niccolò Paganini in Genoa, Italy, and graduated summa cum laude with a thesis about harpsichord in contemporary music. He attended masterclasses with Emilia Fadini, Gordon Murray and Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini.
He also studied organ with Ruud Huijbregts at the Fontys Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Tilburg, the Netherlands. In the same institute he is now studying composition with Anthony Fiumara, Kees van den Bergh and Celia Swart.
He also attended Eric Whitacre’s lessons in the online masterclass The Beautiful Mess.
He’s active as both a composer and a performer (harpsichord, organ), and his music has been played in Italy, France and the Netherlands.
Together with colleagues and friends Paolo de Jorio and Salvatore Padula he is the founder of La Nuova Fucina Musicale, an association focused on the creation and the divulgation of new music in Genoa. Moreover, he works as a composer and arranger on Fiverr, with satisfied customers all over the world (United States, Sweden, Italy, Australia, The Netherlands, Japan…).
